Airlangga University (UNAIR) provides educational opportunities to local communities about good water management. Workshops and seminars on the water management education are provided and open to the public. One of the programs about cross-sectoral sanitation program was delivered by School of Natural Sciences and Public Health Students in Banyuwangi. It has given the opportunity for 550 families to learn about good sanitation practices focusing on food management, household waste disposal, and water usage. Other than that, River Cleaning Action was held in Lamongan by Nursing students as a campaign to educate communities in rural areas, especially in Semere Village. The campaign goal was to increase people’s awareness of littering and its impact on environmental pollution and health.
