Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) complies with Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, which contains water quality standards in the appendix as national water quality standards. UNAIR also regulates efforts to prevent and protect marine and land ecosystems from damage through Circular Letter Number 326/UN3/HM/2021. In point 1, it explains UNAIR’s efforts to increase education, research, and community service activities related to saving and restoring marine ecosystems, including increasing activities to save and restore marine ecosystems by preventing and reducing all types of marine pollution, carrying out conservation activities and wise use of marine resources, and preventing and reducing all types of marine pollution, especially from waste.
