Plan to reduce energy consumption
Universitas Airlangga’s energy efficiency plan is outlined in a Rector’s Decree No. 1074/UN3/2021 and 1050/UN3/2021 about Energy Efficiency at our campus. It regulates about saving electricity consumption as well as energy efficiency standards for all buildings at UNAIR. Also, we have innovative strategies and the utilization of New and Renewable Energy (EBT) by installing our solar power plant (solar cell) as our dedication to sustainability. We are currently developing a Windmill Hydroelectric Power Plant with the capacity reaching 4,000 Watts on our main campus. This on-going project is part of our commitment to reduce energy consumption from purchased electricity and contribute to a sustainable future. We also upgrade our sustainability practices to green campus, energy conservation goals, and eco-friendly transportation.
