Policy- and law-makers outreach and education
Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) provides outreach, general education, skills development, and capacity development to policymakers and lawmakers. We provide insight into Indonesian migrant workers regarding their protection, training, and supervision. In 2022, UNAIR, through the Global Migration Research Center, carried out community service in East Lombok Regency. This activity is aimed at introducing legal literacy in prospective migrant workers by conducting focus group discussions (FGD). We collaborate with the NGO Kabar Bumi, which focuses on assisting Indonesian migrant workers. This study center also produces a pocket book for migrant workers.
