SDG 15:  Life On Land

Universitas Airlangga is committed to assisting the government in identifying, monitoring and protecting any species mentioned on the IUCN Red List, as well as species listed on the national conservation list, whose habitats are located in areas affected by the university’s activities, outlined in policy number 326/UN3/HM/2021. We put the policy on action by conserving sea turtle species to reduce the issue of low egg hatching rates which leads to endangered species. Seeing this fact, we maintain the existence of turtle species with turtle hatching incubator technology, called Intan Box (artificial incubator) made by FKH SIKIA UNAIR lecturer. It is successfully released 42 hatchlings to Cemara Beach in Banyuwangi.
