Policy re: hazardous waste disposal
Airlangga University is committed to managing medical waste and hazardous materials to prevent environmental pollution. We renewed a policy regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP-UNAIR-DSP-DSP23) in 2021 and Rector’s Decree Number 2910/UN3/2016. Hazardous waste management is carried out in all facilities, including the Special Dental and Oral Teaching Hospital, Airlangga University (RSKGMP Unair). RSKGMP Unair handles waste carrying infections and containing hazardous substances. Therefore, waste processing at RSKGMP Unair complies with Minister of Health Regulation Number 7 of 2019 concerning Hospital Environmental Health.
