Airlangga University supports local and regional governance in climate change disaster management, including early warning and monitoring. In 2022, our faculty public health sector and the School of Health and Natural Sciences, organized a dedicated initiative on disaster risk management in partnership with the Regional Disaster Management Agency. This project is centered around the integration of disaster risk reduction, emphasizing the need for community preparedness for severe natural disasters and multihazard disasters within the Banyuwangi district. However, we extend our support for Ponorogo Regional Disaster Management Agency. We established an early warning system and the fostering of disaster response communities. This project included comprehensive training sessions, covering topics from risk management to addressing basic needs.
