Access to Food Security Knowledge

Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) prioritizes empowering local farmers and food producers with the knowledge, skills, and technology necessary for food security and sustainable agriculture and aquaculture. Recognizing the imperative of fortifying local communities, UNAIR collaborates with multiple ministries, universities, and NGOs on initiatives such as the “Food Security” seminar and a workshop series focused on addressing potential food crises. These programs, hosted by faculties such as the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Anthropology Department, disseminate contemporary best practices and insights. Additionally, our partnerships with local agricultural and aquacultural bodies and our involvement in research projects foster knowledge exchange, reinforcing our commitment to bolstering food security and sustainable practices.
