Education for SDGs: specific courses on sustainability
Airlangga University dedicates to emphasis on sustainable development through specialized courses across multiple disciplines. Several courses have aligned with the core of SDGs, ie, “Sustainable World Development” for international relations undergraduate program and “Sociology of Gender” for sociology undergraduate program. Moreover, the Center for Sustainable Environment and Energy Studies on our campus leads a postgraduate program that covers a wide range of subjects including law and development, disaster management, forensic science, and police science. However, we offer an elective course open to all students focusing on SDGs, ie, “Natural Resource Economics from an Islamic Perspective” and a postgraduate offering on “Women Empowerment.”
