SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) extends to outsourced services and the supply chain through the Circular Letter Number 849 of 2022 about Sustainable Food Resource Optimization efforts at UNAIR. We prioritize the purchase of food sources used by our canteens from local food producers and distributors. By doing so, we reduce carbon emissions associated with long-distance shipments and actively support the growth of the local economy. We also regulate Sustainable Procurement through Policy Number 472/UN3/HM/2022. This policy governs the procurement of goods and products, emphasizing the use of recycled materials and sourcing from certified suppliers. We continuously evaluate and prioritize purchases from local producers.
