Low-Income Student Support
Low-income students face unique challenges in pursuing higher education, including financial barriers, academic support needs, and personal well-being concerns. To address these challenges, a variety of resources and support systems have been developed to ensure that low-income students have equal opportunities to succeed in college.
UNAIR places a strong emphasis on providing support, especially to students from underrepresented backgrounds, to ensure their academic success. The university offers a wide range of services across various domains, including education, research, healthcare, sports, legal, transportation, housing, talent development, and places of worship, creating an inclusive environment. In 2022, UNAIR supplied 12,000 meals, primarily benefiting financially disadvantaged students. Additionally, during the university’s anniversary celebration, an additional 10,000 meals were provided for all students, with a special focus on those facing economic challenges. Our dormitories accommodate hundreds of students, and a fleet of 10 buses ensure efficient transportation within the campuses. We extend support to underprivileged students by offering complimentary legal consultations through the Legal Aid Unit from the Faculty of Law.
