SDG 2: Zero Hunger

Campus Food Waste

Healthy and Affordable Food Choices

Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) champions the well-being of its community by ensuring access to nutritious and affordable food options. Catering to diverse dietary needs, our campus dining facilities present a broad menu spectrum. Mindful of our students and staff’s budgetary considerations, we’ve priced our canteen offerings between IDR 5,000 and IDR 20,000. By sourcing ingredients locally and emphasizing fresh, whole foods, we maintain meal quality and nutritional integrity, reflecting our dedication to both health and economic accessibility for all on campus.

Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) prioritizes sustainable and inclusive dining, catering to diverse dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan diets. Recognizing the environmental implications of food choices, we source locally and organically to minimize our carbon footprint, supporting local communities in the process. Our dining facilities feature an array of sustainable options, and we remain committed to reducing food waste through strategic meal planning, composting, and sensible portioning. Additionally, our environmentally conscious approach extends to using recyclable or biodegradable packaging for meals, underscoring our commitment to a sustainable campus.
