Sustainable Food Choices on Campus

The  sustainable food choices on campus  are a key component of achieving SDG 2 in educational institutions. It focuses on providing food options that are not only nutritious but also environmentally sustainable.

Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) prioritizes sustainable and inclusive dining, catering to diverse dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan diets. Recognizing the environmental implications of food choices, we source locally and organically to minimize our carbon footprint, supporting local communities in the process. Our dining facilities feature an array of sustainable options, and we remain committed to reducing food waste through strategic meal planning, composting, and sensible portioning. Additionally, our environmentally conscious approach extends to using recyclable or biodegradable packaging for meals, underscoring our commitment to a sustainable campus.
