Bottom Financial Quintile Student Support
Bottom financial quintile student support refers to initiatives and programs implemented by Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) to assist students from the lowest income groups. These efforts aim to ensure that students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds have equal access to education and can complete their studies without significant financial burdens.
Several programs have been made throughout Airlangga University as our effort to help students with low income families to complete their studies. It includes peer tutorial programs that promote collaboration and provide academic support in an inclusive environment for economically disadvantaged students. Additionally, we offer free training for the English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) to ensure that language proficiency does not pose a barrier to academic success. We develop the streamlined process of completing bachelor theses, particularly benefiting students with limited resources, allowing for more efficient academic progress. Furthermore, there is a support for students who want to publish their research both nationally or internationally. It will also contribute to our university publication record which can highlight the achievements of our students coming from disadvantaged backgrounds. This shows our commitment to support low-income students in successfully completing their studies.
