Universitas Airlangga tracks applications and admissions of underrepresented groups. This includes students from Indonesia’s least developed regions, ethnic minorities from Papuan, and Eastern part of Indonesia. We support them with scholarships such as the KIP-K (targeted for bottom 20% of household income). Additionally, the inclusive education team has responsibility to assist students with disabilities, ensuring they receive comprehensive academic support. All these steps underline our commitment to inclusivity and support for all its students. While the university champions diversity across ethnicities, cultures, genders, and religions, however, we do not normalise LGBT presence for our campus.

Annually, we open volunteering programme to assist students with special needs in their academic journeys. While these opportunities are open to all students, selection criteria ensure that only the most committed, empathetic, and genuinely dedicated individuals become a part of this initiative, embodying the essence of selfless support for peers. Further, we keen to focus on recruiting academically talented students who might face financial difficulties. We proudly support 347 students from low-income families enrolled under the Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) College Program, distributed across various departments.
