SDG 3:  Good Health and Well-Being

UNAIR has collaborated with UNICEF, Health Department, and Regional Development Agency since 2015 regarding “Initiative for Maternal and Child Health” program. It aims to reduce child stunting and expand vaccination coverage. As of 2023, the joint efforts have led to significant policy recommendations for health departments throughout East Java. We also cooperated ‘Merah Putih’ vaccine with the Ministry of Health and Dr. Soetomo Hospital. Developed by PT Biotis Pharmaceuticals Indonesia, this vaccine plays a vital role as our response to COVID-19. In addition to addressing medical requirements, its halal certification also aligns with the prevalent cultural values of the nation’s Muslim population.
